Week of May 4th


Ride the Weekly Wave:

Math-We will be integrating Math into Science as we practice graphing! We will review the y-axis, x-axis, and how to interpret different types of graphs.

Reading-We will be integrating Reading into Social Studies as we practice close reading with the Civil War!

ELA/Writing-We will be integrating Writing into Social Studies as we write and present from the point of view of a Confederate or Union soldier in the Civil War!

Social Studies-We will be finishing our unit on the Civil War and reviewing all other units as we prepare for PASS testing this Friday!

Science- We are reviewing all of our Science units as we prepare for PASS testing this Thursday!

 Homework for the Week:

(please refer to your child's agenda daily for more details-this is only an OUTLINE of what to expect):


·       Read 2 steps (30 minutes) for 100 BC and sign Reading Log *every* night **PASS studying may count this week**
·       NO written HW or other studying due to testing
·       Parents, students have received a PASS study log. Please make sure that they study *30 minutes* in Science and Social Studies every night this week and have their log signed!!

 Super Surfer of the Week



Valerie Jeffries is our star student this week for showing the character traits of RESPECT, KINDNESS, and ENCOURAGEMENT in the classroom this week!! This fun girl always builds others up with her words and has a big smile on her face that brightens everyone’s day! She always shows respect to her friends and teachers! Keep it up Valerie!!
