On Wednesday, we took a field trip to Converse College to hear the Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra perform and play along with our recorders. Our class sure loves singing and playing music!

On Thursday, we had "Tacky Tourist" dress up day!

Reagan, Hallie, and Emma are dressed up and matching in their purple!

I Wonder...How do you measure the WEATHER?

In our science unit all about the WEATHER, we explored and created our very own weather tools! The girls were given specific materials, and they brainstormed and planned with their group which materials would be best to use for their specific weather tool! They read a weather scenario and used an example picture as the model. After creating it (and learning about what worked well and what didn't), the girls created their own infographics about how and why the weather tool works, what it measures, and how the building process worked.

Here the girls are building their weather tools (anemometers-measures wind speed, rain gauges-measures amount of rainfall, and wind vanes-measures wind direction) and working on infographics!

Check out their info-graphics below. The girls will teach the class about their group's weather tool using their infographic, and the class will take notes on how it works and what it measures. Way to go girls!

They had a blast discovering what happens to water droplets!
