Ride the
Weekly Wave:
Math-We will be
using the U.S. customary system of measurement to make conversions this week,
and we have MAP testing on Monday!
Reading-We will continue our BOOK CLUBS and mini-lessons through the novel
Shiloh as we look at character traits, story elements, foreshadowing,
predictions, and inferences. Look for a letter going home about book club snack
assignments! Book club reading will count as 100 BC.
ELA/Writing-In Writer’s
Workshop, we will continue looking at “on-demand” writing through different
strategies to best prepare for the upcoming ACT Inspire Writing Test. We will
also practice using verb tenses.
Social Studies-We are continuing our unit on government this week as we continue
learning how the Constitution affected African Americans, who the early leaders
were, and what started political parties!
Science- We are continuing our unit on weather as we finish up our stations
on the water cycle and introduce weather conditions and build our own weather
