Week at a Glance-First Week of School!

Welcome, mighty girls!! Check out what will be happening this week in room 402 :)

Ride the Weekly Wave: 

Math: We will be setting up our notebooks, reviewing multiplication facts, learning math about me, and learning problem solving skills!

Reading: We will be starting our PBL unit CHOOSE KIND as we read the novel Wonder, mentor read aloud texts, and creating our very own kindness bracelets!

ELA/Writing: We will be setting up our writer's notebooks, making heart maps, and brainstorming about mighty girl mentors, and starting memoirs. 

Social Studies: We are setting up our notebooks and beginning to learn about continents, the Ice Age, and the Land Bridge Theory with hands-on activities. 

Science: We are setting up our wonder journals and expectations and doing fun team-building activities and experiments to learn about process skills! 

Anchor Down for Upcoming Tests/Projects: 

• What do you TREASURE activity using rubric due this Wednesday!
• Friday- Quiz on labeling the 7 continents and the Land Bridge Theory

Homework: 

• 100 BC 2 steps each night and have reading log signed
• Study social studies notes on the 7 continents and the Land Bridge Theory
• Please return any information forms sent home this week. Thank you!
